Is the cup really pure titanium?
Yes. The cup body and the tea filter are made from pure titanium. The lid is made from Tritan, a BPA-free food-grade copolyester, with silicone seals. The magnet sits inside the lid and never touches your drink.
Are the colors painted or coated?
No. The colors are created by heat. The flame thickens the natural oxide layer on the titanium surface, and the thickness of that layer decides which color you see. It is the same physics that makes a soap bubble look rainbow-colored.
Will the color fade?
The oxide layer is part of the metal surface, so it does not peel like paint. Very abrasive scrubbing pads, however, can wear it down over time. Wash with a soft sponge to keep the color vivid.
Can I put hot drinks in it?
Yes, tea, coffee and hot water are all fine. The cup is single-wall, so the outside will feel warm when the drink is hot. Hold it by the upper part or let very hot drinks cool for a minute.
Is it dishwasher safe?
We recommend hand washing. Dishwasher detergents are abrasive and can dull the heat-tinted colors over time.
Can I use it on a stove or campfire?
Please do not heat the cup directly with the lid attached. The Tritan lid and silicone seals are not designed for direct flame.
What is the capacity and size?
500 mL, about Ø71 × H210 mm, and roughly 325 g.
